27 weeks pregnant with AG

How far along? 27 weeks (June 26th-July 2nd)
Energy: Good!  Trying to get some fun activities in before baby girl arrives.
Best moment this week: Knowing I had a four day weekend coming up
Movement: She seems to love book time when we are putting William to bed.  From then on she's awake and kicking all around.
Food cravings: Still apples
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really
Maternity Clothes:  A normal tankini no longer fits over this big belly.  So, I've bought a few maternity top bathing suits (I doubt stretched out skin that gets tan and then deflates is attractive!).
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody? Happy for the long 4th of July weekend at Lake Conroe with my parents.
Other pregnancy symptoms:  I got the worst calf cramp (charlie horse?!?) one night this week.  OUCH!  These things are for real....and my least favorite preggo symptoms.  My calf was sore for days afterwards.  lol.
From the doctor:  I saw Dr. Zepeta on July 2nd.  Everything seems to be going well!  He thinks I'll stay pregnant until the stitch comes out around 36 or 37 weeks.  From here on out I'll see him every 2 weeks.

Baby is the size of cauliflower

I think the belly is a tiny bit bigger this go around.  :)  It's hard to believe this pregnancy is almost over!

Flashback Friday #7

Week 22 & 23 (February 5-February 18 )

Mood- I was feeling happy and super productive!
How my body feels-  Feeling great.  My only complaint was my back hurting when I sat for a long period of time.  My pillow became my best friend!  Looking back now I think this was about the time that I should have started slowing down.  Maybe started semi-bedrest?!?!  Who knows.  I guess we'll know more the next go around. :)  I had a lot more tightness when I worked out...being my first pregnancy I thought it was all pretty normal.  Now I look back and wonder if I would have rested more (done less between 23-29 weeks) would it have kept me pregnant longer?
Weight gain-  At 23 weeks I was up 10 pounds.
Movement- I started playing lullabies to him in the evening and he would go crazy (now that he's here he still loves music....especially being sung to)!  I also noticed him moving a lot when I was exercising.  It felt like he would change positions.  I loved feeling him in there.  It was the best part of pregnancy.  My hands were always glued to my baby bump.  Even at night I would wrap my arm around my belly so I could feel him moving.  The first night without him in there was lonely.
Exercise- Still going to Define, walking at the park and the gym.
Cravings- This is when I became addicted to peanut butter.  YUM.  To this day I'm still on a peanut butter kick.
Sleep- Still up at 3 am to use the restroom.
Doctor Appointment- We went back to the Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor on February 6th and they told me I had a bi-lobed placenta and that he was a beautiful baby :) (heart rate was 150).    The bi-lobed placenta never caused any issues.  They said the only thing to be careful of was after I delivered him....things took a little while longer than expected regarding that but everything was fine.  Since William and Gordon were in the NICU I stayed busy texting everyone with our surprising news of baby boy's arrival!  The only people we called were our parents when I went into labor....everything happened so fast!  1:30 am my water broke and 6:21 am baby boy was here.
Important things this week- On Superbowl Sunday we went to church with my parents, my mom and I got pedicures and then we flew home in time to see the Giants win!  A couple days later, February 7th, I turned 30 years old!  Gordon took me to my favorite restaurant where I proceeded to stuff myself.  No wine = more cake.  The following week was super busy.  I had a work dinner at Eddie V's that was delicious.  I remember shopping around City Center and having a lot of contractions.  I started to get nervous until I realized I hadn't drank hardly any water all day.  I immediately started chugging water....I spend the entire work dinner in the restroom.  HAHA.  Have I ever mentioned that at every ultrasound appointment the doctor asked me if I had to use the restroom a lot because he was directly on my bladder!
That weekend Gordon and I met my parents in Kerrville and got my new car!!  So so excited to have a nice big "mom car".

Flashback Friday #6

Week 20 & 21 (January 22-February 4)

Mood- I loved this part of pregnancy!  I was comfortable and felt more at ease knowing he was doing well in there!  You can't beat getting to have your baby with you all day. :)
How my body feels-  Week 20 I had a little cold, terrible indigestion and what I called "pregnancy insomnia".  By week 21 I was feeling much better and seemed to have a lot more energy.  I guess I was more tired the first trimester than I realized.
Weight gain- Up a total of 7 pounds at 21 weeks.  Still wearing my normal clothes (with the exception of maternity tank tops from Target!).  Leggings were the best thing ever during this time.
Movement- He is a mover!  Still really active at 9am and 7pm.  At 20 weeks I could still feel him move the best when I was sitting down...by 21 weeks I was able to feel him even when I was standing.
Stretch Marks- Nope (I luckily dodged that bullet this pregnancy).
Exercise- Still going to Define, walking at the park and we tried out a new gym.
Doctor Appointment-  I went to my OB on February 2nd but she wasn't available so I just got weighed and had William's heart rate checked (HR was 151).
Important things this week- Gordon and I went to see Contraband over the weekend and registered at Target and Babies R Us.  On February 2nd we flew to Midland for my little brother's couples shower where we got to see lots of family.

In Midland!

Flashback Friday #5

Week 18 & 19 (January 9-21)

Mood- Really loving being pregnant and already so in love with the little guy growing inside me.  I started to feel anxious about the anatomy scan scheduled for week 19.  I know several people with "heart babies" and felt so nervous.  We already had things to worry about due to my uterus so I just tried to stay positive.  Gordon always told me we'd get through anything we had to.  He was right.  We did.  :)
How my body feels-  My back started hurting around this time.  Since I carried William on the right side of my body that is the side that hurt.  I was most uncomfortable when I sat for long periods of time.  Putting a pillow behind that side of my body really helped.  I even kept a pillow in my car for my drive home and had to take my moshi pillow to the movies.  Otherwise movie night was a no go for me.  haha.  Don't worry I washed the pillow as soon as we'd get home!  Sleep- Sleeping on my side at night was hard to get used to.  I would wake up and be on my back so I always used the big pregnancy pillow.  I put it between my legs and behind my back.  I started getting up again at 3am to go to the bathroom.
Cravings- Carrots with ranch and fruit.....especially cherries (which I had never had before pregnancy)!
Weight gain- 1 pound so up 5.
Movement-  He was super active.  Especially around 9am.
Doctor Appointment-  We had the big anatomy scan on January 19th.  It was music to my ears when they said he had a beautiful heart.  They couldn't have said anything nicer!!!!  He had a healthy looking cord and all his major organs where there and looked to be functioning properly.  William would not cooperate with them towards the end.  He was really stubborn (yikes...not a good sign for us)!  They weren't able to get a good picture of his C-spine (neck area) so we had to schedule another appointment for 2 weeks later.
Important things this week- I flew to Dallas after the doctor's appointment on Friday to shop for baby furniture with my mother in law! We had so much fun and found lots of great things!!  I don't think I've ever walked so much in my life.....this mama's feet HURT!  We would go out to dinner after shopping and by 9pm I was passed out.

Headed to Midtown for dinner with the girls!

Ready to see our baby boy on the big screen.
Little did I know this would be my first of MANY times to
lay on this table at the MFM office!

I used to just stare at this picture and smile!

Flashback Friday #4

Week 16 & 17 (December 25- January 8)

Mood- Happy happy and so excited about feeling the baby moving!
How my body feels- I was feeling great.  No more nausea in the morning.  I was still able to wear my jeans with the belly band.  I felt like I was starting to finally show and I was actually feeling pregnant.
Cravings- Peanuts sounded yummy!  I bought a jumbo jar. :) I was still having to eat frequently (especially in the morning).
Weight gain- Nope....still up 4 pounds.
Exercise-  I went to Define a couple of times and walked at the park.  We were pretty busy with Christmas and family visiting so there wasn't much time.  My ankles got really sore after walking at the park.  I remember thinking how weird it was.
Important things this week- Gordon felt William kick on January 5th.  I'll never forget the look on his face.  I was laying in bed getting ready to go to sleep and Gordon was about to go get into the shower.  He was kneeling down on my side of the bed with his hands on my belly.  When he felt it he looked up at me with a big smile.  Such a sweet moment.
On Wednesday, December 28th we had an ultrasound to find out the sex of Baby G.  He was still a little wiggle worm!  The next night we made our first homemade pizza on the Green Egg.  Friday my parents got into town and we had the sex finding out party "What's It Gonna Bee?"  New Year's Day we went to a Houston Texans football game with my mom and dad.
Gordon always said we'd only have boys so I thought we'd for sure have a girl.  I can honestly say there wasn't a single moment I was disappointed or sad about having a boy.  From the moment we found out I was thrilled!  I can't wait to watch him learn to throw a football with his daddy.

It's a BOY!

4th year to have dinner at Sonoma

Go Texans!!

Flashback Friday #3

Week 14 & 15 (December 11-24)

Mood- I was so ready to feel baby kick!  It still seemed unreal that I was pregnant even though my body was clearly changing!  I was excited for Christmas, busy getting ready for the gender reveal party and mailing out Christmas cards.
How my body feels- The nausea after breakfast was starting to get better and I didn't wake up starving to death anymore.  I was still fitting in all my normal clothes but my waist line was quickly expanding.  I went ahead and bought a belly band which I used until the end of February.  I got a little bit of a cold before Christmas but nothing that lasted long.
Cravings- I officially gave up on my morning yogurt.  It just didn't taste good anymore.  Even chicken wasn't the same.  I still craved cheese like crazy and Chinese food!
Weight gain-  At my doctors appointment on December 19th I had gained 4 pounds.
Dreams-  I dreamed that I could feel the baby move.  I woke up so happy!
Important things this week- Doctor appointment: baby heart rate = 150.
On December 23rd I felt William move for the first time!!!  I remember it like it was yesterday...I had just left work....excited about a little Christmas break....I got into my car and buckled up and that's when it happened.  I literally stopped what I was doing and thought OMG he/she just moved.  I didn't think I'd know or recognize when it happened but I did!  It was like something was tapping me from the inside.  When Gordon asked what it was like I remember telling him that the word "quickening" described it perfectly.  I always wondered why that word was used to describe the babies first movements.  Once I felt it for myself it all of a sudden made perfect sense.  After that anytime I was in the car or sitting still on the couch I had my hand on my belly....waiting for him to move again.  :)
Christmas in Texarkana was nice and relaxing.  It rained most of the time so Gordon couldn't go out to the farm to hunt.  Instead, we did lots of laying around and on Christmas Eve we went to see Sherlock Holmes before going to church with Jackie and Bill.

Around this time is when the addiction to Chopped and Iron Chef started!  The next Iron Chef had just ended that week and MY GUY won!!  Gordon and I each picked who we thought would win during the first show and my guy, Geoffrey Zakarian, won.  I'm pointing at him in the picture below.  :)  Gordon surprised me with this cookbook.  The best part...it was signed by Geoffrey himself.  I started crying when I opened it.  Gordon says I'm crazy....I'm sure part of it was pregnancy hormones....I was so excited about this silly little cookbook.  I loved it more than the diaper bag or Kate Spade wallet he gave me....probably because it's something we enjoy doing together AND it shows how thoughtful of a husband he is.  Like I've said before....it's the little things.  I am so blessed to have such a great relationship with my hubby.  He's my best friend and I love that he knows me OH SO WELL!

Good job Daddy!  LOVE the diaper bag.

Flashback Friday #2

Weeks 12 & 13 (November 27-December 10)
Mood- Hello 2nd trimester!  :)  I was feeling happy and festive!  We got all the Christmas decorations out and the Christmas tree up.  I was so tired and sore after all the decorating.  I remember thinking it will be so much harder to decorate next year when we have a 6 month old crawling around....but so much more fun!
How my body feels- Good!  I was only waking up once a night to use the restroom instead of 3 times!  (that didn't last long since I ended up carrying William so low)
Cravings- I was so hungry in the morning.  Some mornings I would have to get up at 4am and eat a cereal bar.  I was still carrying crackers around with me and hadn't gained any weight yet.
Important things this week- I had the genetic testing done at week 12 (everything came back good).  During the ultrasound portion of the test Baby G was a wiggle worm.  The poor lady could barely get a picture of him with all the squirming he was doing.  This was the appointment the ultrasound tech thought I had 2 uteruses?!?!  Gordon and I drove to Austin for a couple of days so he could take 2 of his landscape tests.  While we were there the poor guy got food poisoning from the seafood enchiladas at our favorite restaurant, Z-Tejas.  After being up all night he still took the tests and PASSED them both.  While he took his tests I shopped, got a massage and shopped some more.  These two weeks were so busy with work Christmas parties, trying to catch up with friends over dinner, doctors appointments and just life in general.  I was one tired mama but loved getting to see our baby on the big screen during the genetic appointment!

Alison took this picture while we were at
work because she thought I looked so
huge that day.  haha...still a tiny belly!

Flashback Friday

When I started blogging back in January I was already nearly half way through my pregnancy....and since I'm using this blog as a scrapbook/journal I thought I'd start doing Flashback Friday about the beginning of my pregnancy with William!

10 & 11 weeks (November 13-26)

Mood- I was feeling anxious about this weeks appointment since the last appointment at 7 weeks I was told I had a bicornuate uterus.  I remember sitting in the waiting room and saying to Gordon, "Do you think I'll feel this nervous before every appointment?"  Little did I know the answer was YES times 100...I was even more nervous at the end with all the challenges we faced with bedrest and growth restriction.
How my body feels-  The light cramping and spotting I had for the first 8 or 9 weeks was starting to get better but pregnancy acne had kicked in!  YUCK! I had a lot of right sided cramping around 6 weeks (I would soon find out that this was the side William would stay on my entire pregnancy).  I also had a lot of chest tenderness until I was in the 10th week.  Most nights I was in bed at 8pm and asleep no later than 9.  I didn't realize how tired I was the first trimester until it was over.  I was still working out 3 days a week.
Cravings-  Goldfish and cheetos!  I felt sick to my stomach every morning until after lunch but luckily never had any vomiting (I made sure to always carry crackers with me).  Turkey sounded SO gross!
Important things this week-  Doctors appointment on Thursday the 17th.  Babies heartrate 174.  Daddy's 30th birthday and surprise party at Tony's.  Week 11 was Thanksgiving and the weekend we made the "official" announcement that I was pregnant.

Here's a video of the little peanut!  It's kinda blurry but you can see him do a flip (around 19 seconds) and move his little arms and legs around.  We used to watch this video on repeat.  :)

32 weeks

How far along? 32 weeks
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: I haven't slept very well the last few nights.  At least I can take a nap during the day!!
Best moment this week:  Finishing my yearly review for work.  I hate doing those things.
Miss anything: I guess I'm getting used to this bed rest thing because it's seeming more normal to stay at home all day and never see anyone besides Gordon and Gus.
Movement: He's the most active early in the morning and late at night.  The ultrasound tech had a hard time with the biophysical profile this week because he was sleeping so good.  It took some moving around (and poking on my belly) to get him up and moving!  I guess I shouldn't schedule the appointments at noon...it's apparently his nap time.
Food cravings:  I really love eating toast with peanut butter and honey (I've loved it the entire pregnancy so it's nothing new).
Labor signs:  Some contractions but nothing regular or too painful.
Belly button in or out? No change
Wedding rings on or off?  On.  My hands do get a little bit swollen with all the laying down.
Happy or Moody?  Most days happy.  I usually feel emotionally drained after having a doctors appointment.  I'm just trying to stay positive and not think about all the what-ifs.
Looking forward to:  Going to the doctor on Friday for a Non-Stress Test.  We've never had one done so it's something new.  I'm LAME...I know!
Other: I went back to the Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor today to have a growth scan done of baby boy.  William has dropped down to the 5th percentile.  Since he is below the 10th percentile he's considered to have intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR).  We will now be going to the MFM twice a week (Tuesday/Friday) to monitor the little guy by doing biophysical profiles, doppler (to check blood flow) and Non-Stress Tests.
Baby STATS: Heart rate 148, Estimated weight 3lb 9oz
Funny dad moment:  I had a bit of an emotional breakdown on Sunday (poor Gordon).  Like most pregnant women I have all these things I want to get done BUT can't.  For some reason on Sunday I felt upset that we didn't have any baby shampoo or lotion.  Gordon went to Babies R Us and called asking if we needed "the stuff for cradle cap".  HAHA.  I sure hope not!  I got a good laugh out of the conversation (which was good after the emotional morning).  He's a good man and will be an excellent daddy.  :)

31 weeks

How far along? 31 weeks
Total weight gain? Up 2 pounds from my last appointment on March 26th (total weight gain is 17 pounds).
Maternity clothes? No change from last week.  Mostly wearing pajamas around the house.
Exercise: Can't :(
Stretch marks? Nope.  I read that bio-oil was good to use during pregnancy so I bought some the other day!
Sleep: Overall pretty good.  My back hurts a lot these days so I wake up feeling really uncomfortable several times a night.  Don't know if the back ache is from laying down all day or from carrying a baby for the past 8 months?!?
Best moment this week:  Just glad he hasn't been born yet!
Miss anything:  Lots of stuff...mostly just normal everyday life.  I miss our weekend routine of breakfast at Barnaby's, grocery shopping together and walking at the park.
Movement:  He's still really active (especially at night).
Food cravings:  Nothing really.  I've been really into chocolate covered marshmallows now that Lent is over.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope.
Labor signs:  My cervix has shortened more from 1.8 to 1.43
Belly button in or out? No change...just barely out.
Wedding rings on or off? On.  I don't really wear them when I'm just laying around the house.
Happy or Moody?  Happy that I'm still pregnant & anxious about how much longer I will be!
Looking forward to:  The day I bring our baby HOME.
Other: Uncle Dustin got married this past weekend in Jamaica.
I had 2 doctors appointments this week.  William's heartrate was 146 both days and my blood pressure is still good (100s/60s).
Funny dad moment:  There are a million (I need to start writing them down after he says something funny)!  I asked G what he would do if I went into labor on Easter.  He calmly said, "Well Lindsey, I'd freak the **** out and throw you in the car."  He's such a laid back guy but I have a feeling this part of pregnancy could send him over the edge.  LOL.  I sure do love that man!

31 weeks 3 days

In the parking garage on the way to the doctor!

30 weeks

How far along? 30 weeks (the size of a head of lettuce)
Total weight gain? 15 pounds (at least as of a week ago)
Maternity clothes? Since I'm on bedrest I don't have to wear anything but comfy stuff like pajamas!
Exercise: No exercising allowed.  I'm sure getting back into shape is going to be a whole lot of fun.  After only 7 days of bedrest I feel achy from all the laying around.  It will all be worth it in the end!
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Since I don't have anywhere to go I stay up watching TV with Gordon until 10 or 11.  I only woke up twice last night to use the restroom.  If I wake up around 5 or 6 I usually have a hard time falling back asleep.  I've been getting up at 7:00 with Gordon.  I eat breakfast and usually end up taking a morning nap.
Best moment this week:  Not going into labor yet?!?  haha.  I'm grateful that William is so active.  It helps calm my nerves.  I'm really enjoying the rainy day today.  Kinda relaxing.
Miss anything:  Walking at the park.
Movement:  Since I have a lot of time to feel his every movement I've noticed he gets the hiccups at least twice a day.  Poor little guy.  At least they only last a couple of minutes.  I've also felt more movement under my right rib cage over the past few days.
Food cravings: I wanted a snocone SO bad weekend before last.  Gordon and I went to get one and they were closed.  :(  I was not a happy girl.  We had just been walking at the park and it sound so good.  We tried again the next day but the line was 30 people deep and I didn't feel like waiting.  Maybe I'll have Gordon try again one day this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick:   Nope.  I feel sick to my stomach before doctor's appointments but that's just nerves!
Labor signs: Short cervix and what I think are Braxton Hicks contractions.  They only last a few minutes, aren't painful and only happen a couple of times a day.
Belly button in or out? No change.  It's out a little bit but not much.
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody? It's day to day around here.  Most of the time bored and happy.  I have random crying spells (usually in the morning before Gordon leaves for work) but I'm sure that's pretty normal considering the circumstance the little guys and I are in.
Looking forward to:  My next doctor's appointment on April 10th and the growth scan around the 16th.
Other:  Gordon was able to hear William's heartbeat last night!  I had read it was possible but he'd never been able to hear anything until last night.  Pretty cool.
Funny dad moment:  After reading the What To Expect 30 week update Gordon looked at me and said, "Why didn't you tell me the little guy was going to be nearly blind when he came out?"  HAHA.  They say newborns can only see objects  8-15 inches away.  Apparently, G found this to be disturbing news.  He sure does make me laugh a lot these days with all the baby "stuff" going on!

27 weeks

This past weekend was a super busy one!!  Saturday was our five year "dating anniversary".  Gordon says I can't count it anymore since we're married but I think I always will!  We did our normal Saturday stuff....breakfast at Barnabys, grocery story and the gym.  That afternoon we went to the rodeo to see Chris Young.  I would go to the rodeo every night if the parking and congestion wasn't so terrible!  My favorite part is watching the Mutton Bustin' (little kids riding on the sheep).  I always get a good laugh out of the little cuties.

Heading to the rodeo

Sunday we went to our first of two baptism classes and spent the rest of the day cleaning out the "man room".  It was a sad day for poor Gordo.  He's really enjoyed having his own little space to watch TV and of course play video games.  As for me....I'm ecstatic to get started on our baby boys nursery!

Here he is on the last day in the "man room".  We'd already moved the coffee table out when I realized we HAD to get a photo. :)

How far along? 27 weeks
Total weight gain? 13 pounds
Maternity clothes? only the tank tops that I wear to work under a scrub jacket and maternity jeans.  Otherwise I'm just wearing my normal clothes.
Exercise: about 3 times a week.  I usually make it to the gym or Memorial Park on Friday after work, Saturday and another day during the week.
Stretch marks? Not yet.  Keeping my fingers crossed!
Sleep: I usually wake up 3X/night to use the bathroom.  Most nights I have a really hard time going back to sleep after the 2:00 bathroom break.  Pregnancy insomnia?!?!  I guess I had less energy than I realized the first trimester...back then I was asleep by 8:30 and felt exhausted!  These days I go to sleep around 10:00 pm and can't sleep past 8:00 am.
Best moment this week:  Thinking about William's new room.  I can hardly wait to hold him.
Miss anything:  Wine.  I miss sitting on the couch reading my book with a glass of wine.  3 months and counting!
Movement:  He stays pretty busy in there.  He still goes crazy when I play music.
Food cravings: Anything with cheese!!  It's been this way the entire pregnancy.  Goldfish, cheetos, chips and queso....
Anything making you queasy or sick:  The yogurt I used to eat every morning before work still doesn't settle well.
Labor signs: Nope.  I do get some tightness in my belly when I walk around the park but it doesn't last long.
Belly button in or out? It looks like it's about to pop out.  Ewww
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody? Happy.  I do get moody when I have to pick up after Gordon constantly :)  I guess that's life with a male!  Better get used to it.  haha
Looking forward to: My mom and mother in law coming into town to start working on the nursery and for my first baby shower this weekend!!
Other:  Reading The Hunger Games.  So addicted!  I can hardly wait for the movie to come out on March 23rd.

26 weeks

There's nothing too exciting to report this week.  I did decide it was finally time to get some maternity jeans.  I was still able to wear my jeans with the belly band but felt like they were digging into my stomach especially when I was driving.  I must say that maternity jeans are pretty great!
Gordon and I had a pretty low key weekend.  We did the normal grocery shopping, house cleaning, breakfast at Barnaby, Saturday night movie watching and church on Sunday.  We've been going to the gym together on Friday evening and then heading over to Berryhill for fish tacos (perfect during lent!).  I LOVE their queso but Gordon never wants to go so I'm thankful for fish Friday right now!  We took advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend and went to Memorial Park on Sunday for a walk.  Gordon says he won't be able to go much longer with me because his allergies are starting to act up.  Pollen + Gordon = disaster!  We're praying he doesn't pass this on to little William.  :(
Yesterday was my day off work so I went walking again after the AT&T guy got finished installing our new U-verse.  YAY for U-verse!!  I got tired of Comcast's poor customer service and high prices and Gordon is thrilled to have 300 channels.   He's most excited about Starz so he can watch Spartacus.  Boys.

6 months pregnant

Today I had a doctor's appointment.  Well, actually I had a nurse visit and an ultrasound.  The doctor's office called this morning and said she was out sick but to still come in.  This is the 3rd time I've gone to the doctor and not been seen by a physician.  Booo.  I can't say I'm very happy with how things are going in the doctor department BUT at least I'm still feeling great and little William is doing well.  The ultrasound today was to check my cervix length.  It did shorten a little bit from my last visit but is still a normal length.  Baby's heart rate was 167.  He has become quite an early riser.  He used to become really active around 9am but over the past 2 weeks that's changed to 6am!    He's quite a wiggle worm from 6-9 and again around 2 and then when I'm home from work around 7.  He really gets moving when I play music for him (I put one of my iPod ear phones on my belly and play a lullaby CD).
My next doctor's appointment is in 4 weeks.  I get to do the yummy glucose test and I'll have another ultrasound done.  After that the nurse says I'll start going in every 2 weeks.  Here's some belly pics from 24 and 25 weeks preggo.

I still can't believe how fast time is flying by!  My mom and mother-in-law are coming into town on the weekend of March 17th for my first babyshower. We are also going to start decorating the nursery that week!  I can hardly wait.  I went to market in Dallas with my MIL back in January and found some fabulous things.  Here's a picture of our inspiration.

I knew I wanted a cowhide rug in the room.  When we saw this we thought it would be perfect for a nursery and would work for a boy or a girls room.  I've really tried to think long term when buying things for the nursery.  I wanted items that would either grow with him as he gets older or would look good in other areas of our home.  My second shower here in Houston is the last weekend in March.  Gordon's brothers (and their significant others) are hosting it for us.  They wanted G to be included in all the baby fun.  :)  If all goes as planned the nursery will be done by then!
Until then I have more closet cleaning and a RODEO weekend planned for us.  There's nothing like rodeo season here in Houston!!!
